ICMI and JG Collection join forces to expand offer, opening new Edinburgh head office

New firm aims to relieve growing pressure on independent hotels

ICMI, the management team behind some of the UK’s most exclusive hotels including Inverlochy Castle and Cromlix, is joining forces with London-based hotel sales and marketing firm JG Collection to launch Select Hotel Management Services - a new suite of solutions to support hotel owners and operators around the UK.

To support this rapid growth beyond the luxury market the group has opened new headquarters in Edinburgh in addition to its satellite offices in London and the Scottish Highlands.

This comes at a time when the UK hotel industry is facing a continued period of economic and political uncertainty, resulting in staff shortages and increased pressure on resources. 

Norbert Lieder, Managing Director of ICMI, said: “The UK hotel industry is benefiting from the growth in tourism numbers and an increasingly mobile businesses population.  However, many businesses across the industry are experiencing extra pressures on resources at a time when consumer expectations are greater than ever before.

ICMI was founded by the senior management of Inverlochy Castle Hotel, one of Scotland’s most renowned small luxury hotels, over a decade ago in order to offer their combined experience in managing and marketing luxury hotels to other owners.  Since then, ICMI has become one of the UK’s most successful luxury hotel management companies, managing some of the world’s top hotels including Cromlix, Greywalls, Isle of Eriska Resort and the Liming.

JG Collection provides sales and marketing support to 25 hotels around the world. The team makes over a thousand calls every year to individuals travel agents, travel managers, meeting planners, tourist boards and hotels.

  3. Operational Assistance: Bespoke projects or emergency assistance including off-site training, monthly inspection reports and management cover.
  4. Central Reservation Service: The ICMI team will manage your phone calls and correspondence 364 days a year
  5. Sales & Marketing Support: 50 monthly direct sales appointments, contact & sales reports, effective handling of sales enquires, accompanied sales calls & planned entertainment
  6. Trade Show Representation: ICMI will represent you at key UK and international tradeshows
  7. All-inclusive Management: all of the above
